Broadwater's Crew team, the only scholastic rowing organization on Virginia's Eastern Shore, was formed in the spring of 2001, and they began competing the following year. Their fall season runs from the beginning of the school year through early November; the spring season begins in mid-February and extends through May. Most competitions take place in the Hampton Roads area as part of the EVSRA (Eastern Virginia Scholastic Rowing Association), although the team occasionally travels to Mathews County, Northern Virginia, and Philadelphia.
