Broadwater Students Perform Anastasia
BA Stage, Broadwater’s theater troupe, produced two outstanding performances of Anastasia The
Musical on Friday and Saturday evenings, April 24th & 25th in the Fine Arts Center. A cast and crew
of over fifty students in middle and upper schools presented the production.
Seniors Elise Adler, Sophia Rader, Noah Rudmin, and Carly Williams had roles with Elise cast as
Anya, the lead. Sophia sang an opening lullaby in Russian to open the play, which was a touching
gesture to her Ukranian family and heritage. Behind the scenes, seniors lead the technical crew, with
Olivia Hamilton, Rheya Patel and Jocelynn Stevens manning props and the run of show.
BA Stage produces two large scale shows each year, showcasing student talent and highlighting
cameo performances by faculty. Currently, Tatum Ford, Kalyn Nottingham, Natasha Smoot, and
Michele Whitaker design and direct the productions of Broadwater’s strong youth talent.
Broadwater Academy is the premier learning community on the Eastern Shore of Virginia for
pre-K – 12 education.
With a challenging curriculum, talented instructors, and a diverse student body, Broadwater develops
the next generation of respectful, civic-minded leaders and productive citizens.
